For work I much prefer being able to keep my arm and hand stationary so its nice. I do however also use it for battlefield and other shooters over the variety of normal mice I have. Idk, im weird I guess.

Holy shit! What mouse is that? Looks way better than Logitech’s trackball.

Sanwa MA-WTB43BK

And yes, it is. My previous trackball was the logitech m570 which is the common wireless one with the blue ball. I actually really liked it, and thought the ergonomics were good, but the ball movement was a little scratchy, like rubbing a finger on printer paper. More importantly, it died after about a year of use from switch failure, as most of the logitech trackballs do eventually.

Considered buying an elecom trackball which is a popular alternative, but apparently they have tracking problems unless you swap the blue ball from the logitech into it.

I ended up buying the sanwa, which tracks great with the red ball it comes with, but looks cool with the blue logitech ball so thats what I run. Ergonomics are slightly better than the logitech, wireless performance is better, scroll wheel is waaay better and has tilt, there is on the fly DPI adjustment, and it is made from much better materials.

Overall, best mouse ive ever used.

Sweet. I currently have Logitech’s. Bought one in summer 2015, started crapping out pretty much the next summer. Contacted Logitech about getting a replacement, and they did send one.

I’ve not used my Logitech mouse since I bought a Gigabyte mouse from Micro Center about two months back with my new PC. It fits perfectly in my hand. It’s so good, I bought a second one so I could have a damn near lifetime supply of it. Fits just perfect in my hand and the ergonomics make my hand happy.

Where did you buy your particular Sanwa from, and for how much? That’ll be good info.

Got it from amazon when it hit about $34. Bit pricier than the logitech but if it lasts ill be happy with the price. This is one of those mice that fit perfectly to my hand like you described. Really hard to tell without feeling a mouse in person though.

I forgot to mention the Logitech is much bigger and fits all my fingers and palm on it with no left over space. A very broad coverage, in better words. Whereas the norm is mice are usually a good fit if they are snug in the palm. When I bought the Logitech I didn’t mind if it was bigger. I would rather risk getting an oversized mouse than one that didn’t fit correctly.

So the 3 accepted main players in the thumb trackball game are

elecom: only tracks well with logitech ball, very small and with my larger hands needed to claw grip it

Sanwa: Large contoured type grip, where each finger has a place but the overall layout is a large spread flat palm. Much more horizontal and molded than the logitech. Tracks amazing.

Logitech: Large, tilts hand vertically to the right, and has no finger molding so more versatile for positioning. Ball feels slightly scratchy but good tracking.

I have large hands but had already tried the logitech so I figured why not. I like the ergonomics of both but the reliability is what matters so if the sanwa lasts Im sold
