!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Twenty years ago when I was in the industry, you could get one of these restored for aboout $30-40K.

Now they go for six digits. Less than 350 made.

Giovanni Michelotti’s finest moment of British car design for Triumph.

Kinja'd!!!

Love these damn things.

I have pictures of one I got to sit in at the Carlisle Import Show a few years ago. The car was also at Amelia Island that year and I think the owner said Wayne Carini from TV had possibly driven it. It was a frame off restoration superbly done in bright red. Having owned a TR4 before, it made me flashback to another era.

Beautiful but weird seeing Spitfire parts bin components on a six figure car...

Everyone used the same Lucas catalog back then. XKE switches are on the center console of MGB’s. The big problem with this car is glass and exterior trim. My peeps in the industry tell me that is the hardest stuff to find. Well, that and a car.

The guys at Ragtops and Roadsters did that one. I got a ton of pics of it. Pretty much them and the at Classic British Cars fellas in Cali or the only guys in the states who handle them.

Beautiful cars, aren’t they?

Just found a picture online of that one I saw at Carlisle. I know it from the badge on grille.

Yeah I can believe finding one would be tough. I’m a bit ashamed to admit that this is the first time I’ve seen one. And we always had British cars around the house when I was growing up.

That blue one was done at a shop here in SLO, the picture is in Avila Beach. Stunning little car, one of two there at the time.
