Rules Here

They’re getting active aero!!!!!

Holy crap a racing body that is encouraging active aero. YES.

Also a bunch of stuff about electricity. First km after refueling must be done under electric power only and the vehicle must cross the finish line under electric power only... Panoz probably had some idea this was coming.

That e-power-only out is DANGEROUS. And they’re still stuck at 8MJ despite the obvious room for double that. Otherwise, neat. The compromise between active aero and one body is smart.

Frankly, though, I’m still not sure if Peugeot will want in. Maybe they’re making a tub now, I mean we didn’t know Ford was bringing back the GT in the capacity we see them now until the Detroit launch, but how much would Porsche and Toyota stand to lose here?

Integration of biofuels : increase the integration of other types of more evolved fuels in close collaboration with the suppliers’ strategy

This has me excited

I’m not sure the e-power out is too dangerous. At worst they’d be as slow as the GT cars for that period. It is concerning that they are still limited to just 8MJ though. Not sure why they wouldn’t increase it with how much more of a role they want electric power to have.

Me too. Nice to see a major racing organization actually pushing for new tech instead of just starting new racing series devoted to it (Formula E).
