The weather hss been amazing, but it is time to pay the piper. I actually like the heat, but the farther it gets over 100, the more it tests my limits, and 108 is really fucking hot.

The saving grace is that 100s in the day still drops to 70s at night, and no humidity. Our first summer heat wave also marks the last mosquito we will see for the year.
But not good for my open air vehicles. I tease you cold weather folks, but the Sunchaser’s black plastic interior is not fun at 108, and the wind on the Vespa feels like a hair dryer.
I need to work on the pool, which is a mess from a storm (not supposed to happen) lasr week. But work is busy, and time is tighr.
Still, I would rather have our heat than live in the soul-sucking cold of Vermont again. Fuvk snow forever. I can drive to it in less than an hour, and get out when I have had enough

Was greeted with this at 7 tonight. Wasn’t actually 118, but 100 with the sun right on the front of the car. Convertibles are starting to disappear as summer has finally showed up. But just like you, I prefer this to having a cold winter. I’ve lived in Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and London and much prefer the heat to the climates of any of those places.

Ah, I don’t miss California heat at all. One day I went to Sonic after school for a Blast and my car said the outside temperature was 107. No thanks!
Last year it got pretty hot during the summer. Looks like it’ll be nice and decent this year.

It’s supposed to top triple-digits as well on the Mojave side in the coming days. I broke my no-water rule so I guess it’s time I start wearing sunblock.

Can confirm, driving a motorcycle in 100F+ just feels like being in front of a very large hair dryer even if the air is dry. It’s still better than 90F and 80% humidity though, at least your shirt isn’t soaked from sweat when you get to your destination.
