Rust, I has it

Got the driver’s seat out of the rover tonight so I can see the full extent of the rust. I have rust!

The good news is that the passenger footwell isn’t nearly he bad, but does have a hole. Driver’s side needs a new floor pan, new sill, and the A pillar base needs to be replaced. I’ve seen pics of other ones that are much worse, it’s just weird that this is the only bad spot and it’s REALLY bad. Otherwise there’s just a few other places in the back to patch up and it should be good.

Not sure, the foam insulation (sponge) was soaked when I bought it. It traps water next to the metal. It might be leaking behind the dashboard as well, from the firewall. That should be fun.

90 miata. That floor has since been cut out and replaced.
