Kinja'd!!!

As seen at the train station I walk to daily. Plenty of people ogling it, meanwhile here I am finding the flaws.

Kinja'd!!!

Oh, you got a Ferrari. Not a great one (according to the Ferrari elite) but still nicer than the Macan S you’re parked near. Like all Ferraris, it comes with the Ferrari soundtrack, but that wasn’t good enough. You knew better. So you got yourself an enclosure and a massive Kicker subwoofer to go inside your 44 cu-ft cabin. Who wants to hear the engine anyways?

Maybe the engine blew and he had to replace it with a turbo 4 banger but still wanted dat Ferrari sound yo.

Kit car. Why drive to a train station in a Ferrari? Is America that intellectually broken?

Not that anyone buying a red 360 and parking in the front row isn’t already in the “look at me” category...

Kind of surprised by the lack of staining on the driver’s headrest from My New Haircut’s hair gel.

After owning a 360 for a year I can’t blame him (or her). The oem stereo is crap, mine was optioned with the upgraded “hifi” system, which means you pay more for the same crap but get a 6 disk changer located under the hood that skips every time you hit a bump.

Also, if they are running the OEM exhaust system, on the 360, it’s insanely quiet. Like you can’t hear it with the windows down and the radio off until you’re at 7,000 rpm quiet. I had a Tubi Style on mine and even then it was relatively quiet for normal driving conditions.

There’s a Maserati, Tesla X, two Tesla Ss (One a P85D), various Porsches. I don’t have money, but the houses up the hill from us do. It’s better than driving that Ferrari into the city.

Yeah, I don’t have the insight of ownership like you did, but I feel there is a lack of execution on this system. At least do the car a little justice, this looks unfinished and half-assed.

Why not? My old train station had two people who regularly commuted in Astons, at least one G Wagen, some 911s, an S2000, and one total nut with a Disco.

Have you ever commuted regularly by train from a commuter station? When your commute consists of an hour on a packed train, then another thirty minutes on a packed subway car, being able to get through that and get to a car that you actually enjoy being in is incredibly important. From the moment I left work, the only thought in my mind was how much I looked forward to getting into my comfy Jag, setting the A/C to 60°, and listening to music. As far as I was concerned, my commute ended the moment I got to my car. Having a car I enjoyed being in after a shitty commute on public transportation helped me keep my sanity.

Hey, sometimes I drive a Series to the station, in the February, with no heat... I have some issues I’m working through...

In all fairness, that’s probably the only time of the year you don’t have to worry about it overheating.

Fun fact, cooling system on a Series is actually overbuilt to allow for running a PTO while stationary. If you want to run around normal temperature in the dead of winter, you need to restrict airflow over the radiator with a radiator muff.

Yes! There’s something comforting about knowing you’re about to be in your own personal, luxurious bubble without anyone else breathing on you or wondering what new excuse the MTA has for all the delays.

Also, radiator muff teeheehee

Exactly. At least when there are delays with my Jag, it’s because I know it broke down, unlike waiting for the subway, where I can only guess.

I wouldn’t want to be seen in Town driving an ex Doug car either. less shame in taking the train ;)

I think he or she is arguing that if you have that car, you should just drive it.

Good luck enjoying that commute in a Ferrari. Commuter rail exists because of congestion. If my options were to sit for an hour on a commuter train or take the Ferrari to sit in traffic for two... save me a spot on the train.

e: not to mention that I’d rather leave my Ferrari parked at a suburban train station than pay obscene amounts for a downtown garage that would probably scrape anyway... plus, miles on a Ferrari!

Looks like there might be something wonky going on with the bumper fitment. Look at the inconsistency of the gap on the driver’s side between the headlight and the badge.

Even with the struggles that the system can have, I would be hesitant to besmirch anyone parking their car at the station and riding in on a train.

I figure this just means the proportionality of your driving time then is even further tilted toward enthusiast. If you do 15,000 a year with a commute and 2000 of those are driven The Right Way™ that’s 13%. If you now drive only 5000 miles a year and 2000 are driven The Right Way™ that’s 40%.

Meanwhile, I get to watch a movie, drink a beer, sleep or anything I want while my moving couch goes 90 mph toward the next station.

I filled my tank on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. I am at 1/8 of a tank as of two days ago, when I last drove.

Thats actually an enclosure thats made specifically for the 360. they only made it in black because 99% of these cars have a black / dark colored interior. I think it only stands out because the contrast to the tan rear wall. if the box was tan it probably wouldn’t look so bad.

Also on a side note, with how easy it is to rattle thing loose on these I probably wouldn’t run a sub either but to each their own I guess.

I can’t imagine that being the truth. There are $4k options on these cars to have your seatbelt and tachometer match the exterior, if it was specific for the 360 (in that it was meant to be there, not just a cut to fit off-the-shelf solution) it would match. There are numerous examples online of installs that are cleaner for subwoofers in a 360 and nowhere do I find a black/charcoal kicker box that I would find in a regular cab pickup truck.

Agreed 100%. I prefer a short commute.

I don’t use a computer at home, because I’m tired of it on the days I sit in front of a computer at work.

I’d hate to get tired of driving because I sit in traffic for hours every day.

By specifically made I meant not made by Ferrari but by likely kicker or fosgate or one of those mid range speaker manufacturers. You can find plenty of people who will make you a custom fit box that looks right but if you take your ferrari to mom and pops audio who deal with civics and altimas all day, you get this.
