Great, but it doesn’t look like they’ve fixed the tire piles... You go off into the grass, and it’s a pretty high chance your car could flip—the tires are practically ramps, not walls.

But man, that place was where I did my first HPDE, and I did enjoy that it’s relatively easy on brakes (compared to something like BeaveRun/Pitt Motorsports Park or whatever). And if someone teaches you a good line through the final corner, you can get a great run on traffic on the front straight.

Yeah, the (somewhat) new owners have been doing a lot, I suspect now that its paved they’ll be getting a lot more attendance and be able to take care of the tires, I read somewhere it was on their to-do list to stack them properly instead of how they’re just piled up now.

Never ridden there, but I have driven farther away to a track. From what I’ve been told, previously the two biggest problems were the pavement (now fixed) and runoff, especially for bikes. The new pavement should theoretically increase speeds, but it won’t do anything for the runoff. Airfence will help a lot, obviously.

I wouldn’t skip a weekend at PittRace to go there, as their track and facility is vastly superior. It’s good to see that there are additional options relatively close, however.
