Wisconsin Dells is like so far outside my list of places I’d like to go. I don’t like gambling and I prefer my water parks to be the outside variety.
That said, a few years ago for my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday, the whole family with all of my wife’s siblings and their spouses, plus my nephew, rented out a big house there for a weekend, the majority of which my MIL spent in the casino.
I spent about 30 minutes burning up 15 bucks in a slot machine and that was it.
We ordered pizza from Moosejaw one night, the next morning I made caramel pecan french toast for 11 people using 2 electric griddles, and that night we had a big fancy dinner at Del-Bar. In order to tolerate being among this group, well, I drank a lot.
After the dinner at Del-Bar, I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, but couldn’t quite keep myself upright. I had to sit down in the hallway because standing just wasn’t working. Eventually I was able to get myself up off the floor and stumble to the bathroom. Thankfully the bathroom was up near the roof with a dormer so I could steady myself against the slanted ceiling.
Stupid Dells.

I hadn’t been since I was a kid. We went just for the Ducks tours and bumper boats.... my fondest of Dells memories. Sadly bumper boats isn’t a thing anymore really.
But the Ducks are still great, if a bit pricey.

I was going to say, a PT Cruiser is the perfect car for a fiberglass moose assuming of course it is in the pious mission of delivering pizza in the heart of the cheese/beer/brat badger state.
The Dells can be great. I like the nature side of things there more so the actual dells. We usually make a stop at the Brat House just up the road.
