Could be worse, remember when another German automaker actually pretend it MADE a minivan?

Does a Chrysler become more or less reliable if you put a VW badge on it?

If you change it out for a VW badge my experience is less.

If they had gotten into Yale this wouldn’t have happened.

we used oooold Volvo 940 for our customer shuttles. Aston and Lotus customers do not even get loaner cars from us or a 3rd party

Related specifically to you, this is a pet peeve of mine. There’s a Volvo dealer in Princeton that badges all of their cars in a way that makes it look like a Princeton alumni badge.

Right down to Princeton’s dumbass black and orange colors. It’s incredibly obnoxious.

Even better knowing that people from Princeton/Montgomery must hate it.

But don’t you primarily do Volvos? That’s actually a pretty cool statement to use an old car. If I had a BMW dealership, I’d give people the option of getting an E30 as a loaner.

People from Lawrenceville, though, would love it, since it says Princeton in so many places.

Every once and a while my wife and I go to Princeton for dinner and drinks. Then we remember why we prefer Lambertville.

Now I just don’t get that. How many people need a ride at once? Not many. And do you really think BMW customers are going to be happy being stuffed into a mini van? Nope.

That’s some poor customer service.

A couple years ago, my wife got a ‘99 528i with 247,000 miles on it for a loaner. This is from a specialty shop where we buy most of our cars, not a regular new car dealer, though.

Yeah not bad. Check engine light was on (of course) but it drove nicely - she had to drive it home about an hour, then back the next day. The owner’s wife had an E39 with 360,000 miles on it, she only finally got rid of it because the brake lines were starting to rot and I guess that was the last straw. She moved “up” to a nice E46 330 sedan, not a ZHP. All of these are manuals, of course!

niiiiiiiiiice!!!!! Heck my E34 went all the way to 416,000+ before the main bearings spun. RIP rad and solid bimmers of the past.

Indeed, however they can still tick over a lot of miles without exploding... quite. My wife’s ‘07 X3 6-speed is at 195k and drives great. It’s had some money put into it this past year, but it is still a nice driver. 416k? Not a chance.
