In my search for a pickup/SUV I came across this gem of a first generation Tundra . It’s slightly overpriced but looks to be a very clean, one-owner car. It meets my requirements of being a stick, 4x4, capable of towing my MINI on a trailer, and good reliability. No cruise control and a fairly weak V6 are the only real drawbacks but certainly aren’t red flags. Probably going to check it out Thursday or Friday.

Clean find. I miss small trucks, thanks for making me jealous. Hope it checks out and you get it

It has cruise. Lucky find, pretty much exactly what I’ve been drooling over, a normal V6 truck is exactly what I need to temper my T5 habits & keep the tough miles off the Volvo..

I honestly forget they offered the 5vz-fe in the Tundra. Interesting. I wonder what else is different about those early gens.

It’s pretty much everything I’ve been looking for, just a good honest truck. How do you figure it had cruise? From what I’ve read cruise wasn’t an option on the V6 manual Tundras.

Bit pricy but looks incredibly clean and who doesnt LOVE a toyota in pine green. Also those 4runner wheels look good on it. Offer 11k and maybe youll get lucky.

Oh shit, thats at highline imports. Ive driven a 1st gen frontier crew cab long bed and an r50 pathfinder there while I had my 4runner. Its where I decide I wanted to pick up an r50.

Definitely pricey but I wouldn’t mind paying around 11.5k for a minty, one-owner Tundra.

They appear to have some pretty nice cars and trucks at Highline with prices to match. I’ll be curious to see how my experience is.

I usually NEVER buy used cars from used car dealerships, only private party and new car dealerships. This was one of my exceptions, they seem legit.

Likewise, I always buy private party but they seem to have great reviews and look alright in my book.

Implied by SR5; also the tab on the right of the steering wheel.

Can’t really add anything meaningful that hasn’t already been said, but damn that’s an attractive truck. Clean, simple lines, the right size and proportions (unlike today’s behemoths), and that shade of green is fucking glorious.
