The shutterbugs in the audience will probably recognize this: With the case it was probably $2:

Kinja'd!!!

And I continued buying CDS despite my attempt at cutting back:

Kinja'd!!!

I only got the discs, not the case or booklets. One of the regulars and I were splitting up a binder full of discs and he grabbed this one. He put his collection of discs in my basket while he continued to shop but then disappeared. I looked around for him for some time and waited longer than I wanted to, so I just bought his discs rather than putting them back in a bin. I’ll give him everything else, and keep the Pink Floyd as a convenience fee.

If internet prices are to be believed, that’s a $500 meter and a $150 pair of CDs (probably less since there’s no case or documents). Score!

Yes, yes I did. It has the RT-32FCC module, which I understand was optional. It does need a new battery, but I’m pretty sure it’ll work fine. Heck, I still have my dad’s ‘60s-vintage Sekonic meter, and it’s still working like a champ.

The guy that gave this meter to me at the store thought it was a digital camera, and when I told him what it was he was no longer interested. He found an older Canon P&S digital and was quite happy. I was more than happy to take the meter off his hands and let him have the camera...

And this is why I have to go to that store every single day after work. The possibility of missing something great is just something I cannot let happen...

I’m in shock. Have two of those stores about 20 minutes away in opposite directions. I might have to go shopping next weekend.

Keep in mind that it’s hit-and-miss. Some days I walk out of there empty-handed, but when the shopping is good it’s very good. Bring gloves and some tools; I usually take a multi-bit screwdriver and a pair or two of pliers. I’ll often grab a part or two out of an old computer without having to buy the whole thing, especially since they’re not supposed to sell computers (personal data and such on the hard drive). But since the purchases are by the pound, you just tuck what you want into your bag and they don’t know any better...

Hell of a buy on that light meter. But, I’m more stunned at seeing a CD long box. That really takes me back.

Woah, them’s not cheap! I used to check goodwill/salvation army near my old job a couple times a week, but I never scored like that. Awesome!
