From my drive home yesterday afternoon...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
No ABS and brand new brake pads a week ago (first time changed since I got the car in 2013), so locked up the fronts a bit even though I didn’t intend to as I am still not used to the pedal travel being shorter. (Pedal travel with the old pads was a bit longer, but the brakes still worked well). Pheasant was a lot larger and a lot closer than he looks in the clip as the fisheye lens makes him seem smaller and farther away. There were no cars behind me anywhere.
Didn’t want to kill the little guy...or damage my bumper cover...
Looks like I have to find an empty parking lot or paved side road and practice some threshold braking with the new pads!

I hope that tire screech sounded like a predator, and that the bird will now associate oncoming cars with DANGER.

Here’s hoping! They are usually pretty clueless, so I was pretty pleased when I saw it fly away! Win-win! No damage to my car, one pheasant still out doing pheasant stuff in the world! :P
