Maybe I just missed the hype train but I didn’t laugh. and I like terrible movies generally.

It does require a carefully calibrated level of wryness on the part of the viewer to *fully* enjoy, but it has plenty enough dumb humor to fill in the gaps. Kind of like how Hot Fuzz is a satire about town/village life and cop movies at the same time, Tropic Thunder is a satire about on-location-filming/actor wrangling and producer woes at the same time as Vietnam movies.
