I knew my steering wheel was shiny and slightly gross, but I didn’t expect that much nastiness.

I’m sure there’s a little dye that came out on there as well, but judging by how much the finish of the leather changed thats mostly my greasy work coming home with me.

It does look almost new now besides some (I’m guessing) light sun damage to the top of the wheel. Might have to research how to fix that.

I don’t think there is enough space in there to get up to 200mph.

Don’t know why GM thinks white stitching is smart idea for their wheels. Mine was starting to look pretty grey.

You must have a 2014+ because the stitching on my 2010 is black. The white stitching looks nice but I imagine it doesn’t take much to dirty it up.

It took me incredibly too long to figure out you were talking about the sign in the garage.

Don’t even look at my work car.

The work trucks that come into work are typically awful, which is entirely understandable.

Try a magic eraser, light application.

I thought about that but had visions of dye coming out in mass quantities for some reason so I decided general purpose interior cleaner and leather cleaner and conditioner were enough.

08 Cobalt SS. Same wheel that’s in the Corvette.

Ooooh. My head’s stuck on trucks.

I always thought those had black stitching like they did in the Malibus and such. The more you know.

It’s a possibility, but it’s truck leather so I’d assume it’s a bit tougher.

start with saddle soap, then a good leather conditioner. you need to do leather conditioner to a leather wheel almost monthy to keep them from getting damaged.

I need to take a picture of the interior of the Metro now. It looks like it just came off the surface of Mars.

Maybe put some tape on the hole in the passenger floorboard.

I did, but it turns out packaging tape doesn’t hold well enough. I kept thinking their was smoke coming in, but it was just a cloud of fine dust. I’ll have to upgrade my plug cover to duct tape. This is the kind of hard-hitting race prep we do around these parts!
