Glass Nickel Pizza here in Wisconsin does fried mac ‘n cheese bites. They make Kraft mac ‘n cheese, spread it out in a maybe 3/4 inch layer on a cookie sheet, refrigerate it, cut it out into triangles, then batter it and deep fry it. They are wonderful carbalicious stoner food. Same basic idea but I believe the larger surface area of the flat triangle shape vs. the approximate Cheeto shape allows for a more successful end result.

Honestly I’m not the hugest fan of Glass Nickel because their crust is too thick and bread-y. But they do have creative toppings and halfway decent subs and pasta for delivery. I was not above ordering from them in my younger, more stonerific days. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat it. Even if you specifically wanted pizza in Sun Prairie you’d be better off at Salvatore’s Tomato Pies .

Good to know. I’ve heard so many good things about food in Madison. I really need to just take a weekend trip there sometime instead of just driving through once a year.

This saddens me but is not unexpected. Deep fried mac and cheese balls are delicious but I believe you can always count on fast food to take a good idea and screw it up.
