1976 Honda CB550 Four, with 18,000 miles. It’s gorgeous, and making me think about learning how to ride.

Ooh. So clean. (probably a bit too clean for my stable, but very nice)

Never liked the crossover headers (esp on a Super Sport), but this is good inspiration for me to finish mine. Just sold a different bike, so there’s room in my budget and my garage again.

You can tell that one was always garaged. Miles aren’t amazingly low, but condition looks exceptional.

Motorcycling amongst the diverse driving skill of the lower mainland takes skill, guts, and an appreciation for Russian roulette. Good luck!

Yeah, the other drivers are the main thing making me think otherwise about riding, but I still want to learn at some point. Might just be a weekend/nice weather thing, if I do.

That is beautiful. I’ve got a 71 CB500 and love it. Old bikes aren’t super reliable though, I’d recommend a new (ish) small bike like the CB300F or CB500F/X after you take your MSF and are still interested.

I have very little interest in new things, especially when it comes to cars and bikes, and if I do wind up getting a bike, it would be used infrequently enough that it doesn’t have to be reliable. There are some 80 and 90s bikes I like, but not much newer than that. If I wound up wanting to ride more often, I’d definitely look into a more reliable and newer one.

I never encourage people to ride. My aunt was an ER nurse with shocking stories, and I was a Marine! I’ve also known several very experienced riders taken out by total idiots. You have no protection from a texting auntie in an suv.

If you don’t ride as much then you WANT more reliable. Otherwise it’s just going to break a new way each time you wanna go

Yeah that’s a good point. I’ll see how reliable this one is for my friend, and figure out what I’m doing when/if I decide to learn how to ride

Yeah, the main thing making me lean towards not riding is the car accident I was in a couple years ago. If I had been on a bike, I’d quite possibly be dead, or at least badly injured.

I think Vancouver is even worse than Seattle in terms of driving skill and roads. I won’t take a bike out in normal traffic here.
