It would be hard for me to take on lesser projects if I were in their position. When you’ve proven to yourself that you can accomplish bigger, more complex builds, I would go the same direction. They are kinda getting to be the “all you gotta do is” guys, but if that’s the worst thing that’s not so bad.

I think the Mira, although a bit more involved, is still in the spirit of the old MCM. Maybe it’s because I’m getting a bit older, but I’ve enjoyed going along with them for the ride from “two dudes wrenching in Mom’s driveway” to “two mates with their own workshop and plenty of resources”.
Not everyone can progress in their hobby that way, and while it’s become work for them, too, it’s fun to have gone along for the ride.

The episode is too short. Similar scale of build to Supergramps or the V8 Stag, but in only 35min? I was a teensy bit disappointed.

Sure, they still started the build wih a cheap car, but the parts bill is getting so much bigger and so frequent there must be sponsorship. I don’t think the Transformers tie in was as strong as the tie in for F8.

The question mark was there to reflect my surprise that they weren’t more explicit (or rather, required to be more explicit, given Australia’s legal tradition and common legal heritage with the UK, where sponsored content has to be very clearly identified) about the assistance. I seem to recall that the Mad Max build (and maybe the F8 build?) was more clearly “sponsored content”.
