That plays a lot better than “we’re selling popsicles to buy beer”.

Dad’s gonna want one when they’re done. So, that’s the sign in his head.

Can you buy alcohol in Texas on Sunday?

I don’t know about Texas, but my state of MO is anytime after noon on a Sunday.

They should look into getting a free puppy. Unless they are raising money for shots & de-worming medicine.

If they can’t it’s time to send General Sherman to fix it.

If I had to guess, I’d say Dad is trying to teach them a life lesson to work for what you want. I hope they get a puppy at a shelter, but then you have to commit to spaying and immunizing. Free is really only when people give them away on the side of the road or something.

“Can I see your seller’s permit and health department compliance paperwork? Don’t have it, well we’ll have to shut you down.”

That’s what the kids are for, camouflage to hide an illegal sweat shop popsicle ring. The mafia runs them all over around her. They pop up like mushrooms and disappear when the lookout spots a police cruiser.

The dad doesn’t look smart enough to be running a ring, and the kids not scared enough.

That’s what they want you to think.

All the shelters near me include that in adoption fees along with a microchip and other things.

They don’t appear to be struggling financially, but if they are, they should sell one of their children.

And it’s a good policy. The humane society where I got my first dog made you agree to spay or neuter.

Better to lease them out. The upkeep costs on a used kid in the after market make them hard to get a good price on.

I would think that their parents are already committed to getting a puppy and they are just out there to teach them that hard work get them things they want. I doubt any of the few dollars they are making will go to adoption fees for a puppy.

That’s gotta be the best reason to sell popsicles. Or just really good marketing.

Either way, gotta love capitalism.

Yep, but then they are back to needing puppy money (though far less than buying from a breeder).
