Very true. It’s impossible to understand how a 7,000 ton train can sneak up on you silently at 45 mph until you’ve experienced it.
I’ve stood within 5 feet of a coal train moving at 40 mph at 3 am (authorized of course) and you could neither hear nor see it. Really.
