What's a good tow hook license plate mount?

My wife’s new car doesn’t have a front license plate bracket installed and we want a tow hook mount to preserve the front bumper because it’s a lease.

Anybody know a good one to buy?

Any generic one from eBay should do the trick so long as the stem is long enough and fits the threading. :)

Just an FYI on a lease this isn’t an issue but I am totally against front plates being drilled into the bumper so I commend you wanting to look for a tow hook bracket.

They all look the same on Amazon but they say that they’re specific for certain cars. The “buick” one is way more, just wondered if they’re all the same

Not sure, but logically they should all be different lengths between models. Distance between tow bolt and bumper isn’t the same on all cars.

Perhaps they are a generic design that just has a super long stem? I was going to get one for Phil but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

US Mill Works makes fancy ones for BMWs and whatnot that are vehicle specific and angled to place the front plate where it won’t interfere with parking sensors.

Unfortunately they do not make one for a Buick Encore.

Happy to help hope it all works great! I hate the holes in my bumper from the previous owner so I’m glad your avoiding them!

If you live in a front plate state, they should have given you a bracket? Since it’s a lease, it shouldn’t matter. Our minivan came with a front plate bracket, bought from Ohio dealer, but we live in Michigan, so no need for front plate here.

We live in Ohio and it was bought in Ohio but oh well found a cheap bracket to use.

Im surprised the dealer didn’t have one in the car upon delivery. Ours was in a bag in the rear hatch. I don’t buy new cars normally, so by he time I get them they either have the bracket or a blank off plate. I was happy the dealer didn’t install the bracket on our van.
