a Truck 350 will actually make this car straighter (maybe). anyway, Having repaired the mangled hood hinge, added a plate and zapped in a few welds the factory missed, I realized that the passenger side is half an inch longer, quarter inch lower from the factory and I’ll have to re-fuck up the hinge to make the hood close.
Original paint, uncrashed car. just made so badly that it won’t go back together if you fix all the things.

It really is. My parents bought one new. All I can say about it is that it didn’t originally start out rust colored.
I wish we had it now. I’d probably daily it to work just for the giggles.

A neighbor had one in the 90's. it’s the only actual vega-powered vega I can recall. All survivors are hotrods.

there was a minty, museum quality one for sale in my town forever with like 12,000km on it. Got down to half his original price and I don’t know if it ever sold. An awesome car nobody wants.

In short, yes they did. They actually advertised “One Vega for the price of 2" It didn’t end up being special, no one was fooled.
