I’d love to buy one, some day, but their propensity to dissolve into a little pile of brown dust topped by an engine and gearbox doesn’t help.
In the meantime I have to make do with a couple of 75s (I won’t mention the Alfettas).

what kind of jerk gave that red headed monster silly string around cars? shit’s got solvents in it, not great for paint you know. it also bonds really well when dry. a bitch to get off and a great way to chip paint trying to remove it..

When I was a kid I found a double-page advertisement in
Autocar
of a red one on a black background – on top of the ominous line
“We have made you an Alfa you can’t refuse”.
I found the picture so beautiful that I made a poster out of it.
It took me a few years into adulthood to pick up the reference, by the way.
