Damn; you Indianapolis oppos are spoiled. This airport is so nice compared to LAX. Plus you folks have all sorts of purty cars on display to look at while munching on nom noms.
And a Chik-Fil-A in the food court! This is more like a mall than an airport. With barely any traffic!

Come to Tampa. Our airport will make you want to move in. We have a microbrewery inside with fantastic food. I goto the airport SUPER early to catch a flight.

Most secondary city airports are pretty sweet. Here in Birmingham, I can usually show up 45 minutes before my flight and still have time to grab some actual BBQ on my way to the flight — and at almost no markup compared to other locations. Every other large airport I’ve visited recently (Vegas, SFO, Oakland, BWI) felt like refugee camps or overcrowded high schools.

I haven’t been to Indy in a while, but I remember thinking it was great. So was the IU campus in Bloomington, which was my reason for being there. I wish I had more of a reason to visit the midwest, or at least time to do so for fun.

Yep, multiple — actual BBQ from companies with other locations around the city/state/region, not just like “Joe’s BBQ” that you only see in the airport. The whole terminal smells glorious, and it’s only about 2 years old. So white, it looks like it should have an Apple logo.

indy is was a welcome surprise. though one time a co-worker showed up right before the indy 500. took a bit till they realised “oh thats why the rental car is 3x the price”
