Today I learned Alice Cooper sold an LS swapped Citroën in recent history.

Which begs the question, would you engine swap a Citroën?

Awesome find. Only this I find odd is that a 1969 would use LHV, since as far as I know (this source confirms http://citroen.cappyfabrics.com/tony.html ) Citroën switched from LHV to LHS around 1964, and switched to LHM for US cars in the middle of the 1969 model year(even earlier for European ones). So this one should either use black LHS or green LHM, but not red LHV, as it’s components are probably not suited for the use of that liquid. Unless the system is backdated, but backdating the hydraulic system wouldn’t make sense, as LHM is superior to LHS and LHV as it doesn’t take up water.

I’d engine swap everything! Viper V10!

Yeah I have no idea. Not a Citroen expert myself. Just found it and knew Oppo would like it.

Me neither, but I heard something about early fluids being red and later ones being green, and seeing a relatively late DS with red fluid was odd to me.

But you’re right, oppo likes Citroëns!

Yeah, I’ve talked to the local French car club guys in SF, nobody would back date it! I would love a pre plastic dashboard DS, so much sexy.

Maybe. But I would never suspension swap it, which I assume would happen with an LS swap. However, an engine from a later hydropneumatic Citroën, why not?

Yeah, a modern Citroën engine would be nice too!
