I’ve long been a huge fan of reggaeton, but I must confess I haven’t followed much in the past 7 years. I keep up with Calle 13 mostly and I loved Residente’s solo album. I didn’t even know Daddy Yankee was still singing. When I heard the Biebs and Daddy Yankee were on a song together, I figured I should have a listen. Fucking great song

I fricken LOVE this song.
I don’t love all reggeton because I sometimes think the lyrics are too simple, repetitive and crude (if you’re going to sing about sex, and Latin songs are supposed to be sexy, try something more creative than “we’ll do it like animals.” Spanish is such a lyrical language there’s no need to make a song that sounds so ugly and crass. But I digress...).
Anyway... I love this song. I find myself singing along every time it comes on the radio.

Wow, that’s remarkable lol.
I’m just shocked my fiancee knew this song before me.... Still I found the original without Bieber and I’m torn. I think it’s good, but I genuinely feel Bieber added good value to the song.

As a Latin American this song is on at least once every day in the radio stations and it’s not even a great reggaeton song, but I guess JB made it ultra popular. At least it has more lyric content than “Shaky Shaky”.
