The factory wheels on my Ranger are pretty rusty, but damn I have not been able to find one set of wheels that I like the look of. A couple have come close, but they’re only available in black and I’m not a big fan of the red/black combo. I also hate chrome. The Pacer 164's below are as close to “maybe” as I’ve come.
Most of the wheels out there are terrible...
You guys have any suggestions?

I want TE37s or Turbomac HDs for my 4runner but at that point it’s wheels worth more than the car.

They make those Pacers in satin black, If the truck was just about any other color (besides yellow) that is probably what I would go with.

I bought 15x7 Torq Thrusts for pop’s Ranger since they’re on sale on Tire Rack. Looking back, we could’ve gone with 16" wheels to get better brake clearance. The 15" are a tight fit but there’s 5mm of space between the wheel weight and the closest obstruction so that’s enough in our book.
I recommend 16" wheels if you’re planning on going offroad to avoid the chance of a rock getting caught and stuck up in there.

Those are nice, I’m really shooting for an all silver wheel. Only place that I will likely go off road is in my backyard.

Ah, I know there’s a variant of the TTD with anthracite face and a machined lip but sadly there are only two colored variants and one chrome variant of this wheel.
Best of luck in your search, maybe try finding a set of BBS mesh wheels from a FoMoCo Panther chassis?

Mustang and Crown Vic wheels will fit.
I agree with you though. I haven’t been able to find a set of wheels for my Jeep that I like as much as the factory D-windows, which frankly I only like cause that’s what came on the truck.
Incidentally, XJ, YJ, ZJ, and TJ wheels will all fit the ranger, if you don’t mind them saying Jeep on them, haha.

You just have to be in the right place at the right time. People upgrade to rockstars all the time and stock wheels go for dirt cheap.

I’m not against it! It’s just they’re THE wheels of choice for the tuner crowd. And marketed as such. It was like seeing a top of the line rooftop tent.... On a FD rx7

I like it when the wheels “pop” a little. I got myself so worked up over offset when I bought my winter set for the Audi that I went with black over sliver to stay as close to stock as possible. They don’t look bad but I still regret not going with sliver. I have the exact opposite wheel problem with wheels for the Germans, I only like the “CSL” Style.

It might be easier to repaint black ones. But scuff it up a bit with super-fine sandpaper or whatever, primer, paint, clear, should be good to go.

Thank you! Just like you I was shopping for truck wheels and almost everything was hideous, but there are a lot of decent looking simpler designs too.
I looked up aftermarket wheels on rangers and the ones you posted honestly look best to me, especially if you can get them in the least chromey silver possible.

That is my dilemma. If level 8 or Pacer made those wheels in a sliver, or machined/brushed finish. They would already be on my doorstep. I found these Alcoa wheels, that are a brushed finish...but I don’t like the look of the smaller, further spaced holes.
So I’m deciding between the perfect wheel in chrome, or the desired finish on a wheel that I’m not in love with. Leaning toward the chrome to be honest.

Yeah I never liked the smaller 8 hole wheels, they look weird.
Id say get chrome and dont clean them much, they end up looking like regular silver. Im serious.
