Kinja'd!!!

The Camaro will finally soon have the stinkbug stance again.

Why make it ride like a buckboard on gravel? Why not put modern sporty shocks on it?

Because that’s not what this car is about. That’s not how they were back in the day, and it isn’t how it’s going to be for as long as it’s in my family.

I recently ripped out the last remnants of the air shocks in my Camaro that somebody installed at some point in its history. It’s what we did back in the day to fit bigger tires and wheels, and to get the right stance, but I’m too old for that ride and I like some weight transfer on acceleration. I salute your dedication to the old-school.

Did the same on 3 cars. Good for Day 2 stuff but poor otherwise. Shock mounts were not designed to support the weight of the car.

Just ask the blown out shock mounts on my Camaro that I spent a lot of time fixing.
