I took an A8L for a spin today, and this is definitely a car to get driven in.
Between this and a BMW of similar year, I’d take the A8. The only issue was the center console/dash area. Sooo many buttons and knobs.

I believe so. 8 speed if I’m not mistaken.

You get used to the knobs. Makes driving and adjusting much easier.

Yeah definitely ZF, and I think you are correct 8 speed. Previous had the 6 speed. The a8l is to be driven in, the s8 is to drive. So you should get both ;)
