There’s a great article in the NYT today about Ralph DiMasi, a longtime organized crime figure in the Providence mob with a penchant for robbing armored cars. Story reminded me of a great, but little known Peter Yates movie - The Friends of Eddie Coyle . It stars Robert Mitchum as a bank robber working as a low-level mob operative. It’s based on a book by George Higgins, who was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Boston at the time, and the story parallels that of a Whitey Bulger associate who was killed in 1967. If you liked the realness of Bullitt , you’ll like Eddie Coyle.

Definitely - I especially enjoyed them reprinting the FBI surveillance photo of them casing the Shaw’s while they made sandwiches on the trunk of a Plymouth Reliant.

Definitely not suspicious looking. Not at all. Not one bit does that look suspicious at all.
