This Saturday, the RallyMetro will run its second event at Byron Motorsports Park. Several Chicago area Oppos have expressed interest in coming out to see an event, so let’s see someone put their money where their mouth is and show up :)
If you show up with a helmet, I’ll even let you ride along.

I already weigh north of 350, and I drive a car that has under 60 hp and forces you to choose 1st or 2nd gear, because you can’t have both. It’s already the slowest thing there by a lot, so what difference does it make?

Eventually the rust destroys the “frame” stubs that the lower control arms mount to. The right side one is pretty bad. Eventually it’s going to collapse, and then I’ll junk it.

Absolutely, building a rallyX track is like my dream entrepreneural effort. But I lake the start up funds to get it going. Plus it probably wouldn’t make any money since it’s not much of spectator sport.

No, it’s definitely not a money maker. At the last event, they did the racing in a “bracket” format to make spectating more interesting. It helped, although this next event is all against the clock like normal Rallycross.
