Every year, my neighbourhood does something called “Hats Off Day”, where they close 10 or so blocks of the main street, there’s a really boring parade, and all the business have tables out and sell their things for discounted prices. Except starbucks, they’re still full price, and yet they get tons of business. There’s also a small car show, so here are my favourites/ones I thought you Oppos might find interesting. There were a ton of people around, so the pictures aren’t brilliant.

Please tell me that 80s Buick LeSabre was a diesel, oh and was that Fishbowl Bus privately owned?

I didn’t notice any diesel badges, so I don’t think so, but I didn’t look too closely. Yeah the bus is owned by the transit museum, which mostly consists of the private collection of an older couple I believe.

If it helps, I was likewise far too excited by the bus and the LeSabre. I really wanted to hear the bus drive away, it almost definitely had a Detroit Diesel in it

Something for everyone, nice. From a W108 to an Edsel to a nice old bus.
I know that neighborhood, too. I remember being witness to a gas drive-off at that Chevron more than 20 years ago, and I have a friend who thinks “Happy Honda” is hilarious.
