Bought my first boxer powered vehicle for an absolutely ridiculous deal.

Bought this amazing vintage 17hp kohler boxer twin powered Deutz-Allis 917H tractor that features Hydrostatic drive, front, mid, and rear PTO & hydraulic lift. It also came with a 48" mower deck and a roto tiller attachment. I got all this INCLUDING DELIVERY!!! for $100 bucks at a yard sale.

The tractor hadn’t been started in over 5 years. We hooked up the booster cables and it fired right up no smoke no nothing. The hydrostatic drive needs a bit of work but the motor is very strong.

I have absolutely no need for it since my yard is way too small to even use the mower. But the price was too good to pass up. I might just put a blade on the front and use it to push some snow around.

I also bought a vintage 60's CCM bike from the same guy for $15 bucks. The bike is mint. I pumped up the tires and lubed the chain and it’s honestly as good as new.

My dad has a 919 very similar to that. Extremely NP! I’ll give you $200!

This is an acceptable application of the boxer engine. Also, super NP.

Wow! Mega score!! I also have a yard that’s too small for a rider, but I wouldn’t have been able to pass that price up.

The tractor I inherited from my mom is definitely too big for my yard, but I’m using it anyway! There’s a ton of overlap between passes, but it is so much faster than my push mower and the end result is so much better. As my neighbor put it, it’s hard to beat mowing the yard with a beer in one hand and not even breaking a sweat!
