These and the events in Portland illustrate how far simple first aid can go towards saving a life. Take a class and get some training. Also, I found you’re so inclined carry a padlock and a bandana in your pocket so you don’t have to stand around with your thumb in your ass while your friendship get stabbed.

In places where you can’t carry a weapon you can tie the bandana around the loop of the lock and you’ll have yourself a weapon that’s a little better than your fists.
