Gadot did just fine, and is definitely easy on the eyes, and her eyes are particularly striking. But Chris Pine is no Laurence Olivier, either. In fact, I think the supporting cast is stronger.

Felt the same way regarding Carano in casting, at least physically. Nothing personal against Godot, just felt she should LOOK physically stronger. But having seen the film, she really nails down a wonderful mix of innocence, determination, and passion for justice that I am pretty certain Carano couldn’t have brought nearly as well. Probably takes way more work to grow those kinds of acting chops than it does to grow some delts and biceps, and frankly, the movie needed the chops more than the muscles. Brava, Godot, I’m your newest fan.
