My family and I has always had old cars. It means each passing year piling on mile after mile increases the likelihood that something might fail piston rings might wear out and resulting billowing smoke and not being able to pass emissions testing. We always take care of our cars and always do the maintenance but things wear out no matter what. I just dont want you thinking we drive around piles of garbage held together with packing tape and bread ties.
I think passing emissions tests each year should be celebrated possibly with fancy root beer.
How would you celebrate passing emissions tests whether something for you or your car?

I celebrate by breathing a sigh of relief and knowing I don’t have to fuck with it for another year.

I don’t need to test the Cougar, putting collector plates on it exempts me from that. Our other cars are too new. Otherwise, I make an effort to drive by the make believe smog testers on the side of the road prior to registration so I don’t have to drive to the testing facility.
