Well I’m 100% sure I have a mouse problem...saw little droppings in the interior, then found one hiding in the wheel chocks that were on the floor in the rear. I’m going to vacuum the whole car in a minute. But what should i wipe the interior down with? I’m thinking some mix of bleach and water.

The leather seats are already tore up and need to be replace so i’m not too worried about them more worried about the other interior parts.

I’m sure I’ll also find their handy work in the engine bay and Trunk too.

At least the car turned right on when I hooked up the battery and drove well.

I’m with you. I knew that they had been in the trunk of my Camaro from the nest I found but it took the first drive on a hot day to realize they had been pissing in the interior

Eh, I wouldn’t use bleach. Maybe some kind of disinfectant.

It’s important to disinfect as there is hunta virus in Tahoe. I used a 15:1 solution from over the counter chlorox bleach. You need to spray it liberally and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before wiping off. I had to research this a few years ago because we found a mouse nest and copious droppings at the water treatment plant at the mine.

I honestly don’t know what it will do to carpet or plastic I would do a small out of the way section to make sure there is no discoloration.

Use an all purpose cleaner with disinfectant. On panels spray on the cloth and wipe on the leather seating, spray on the leather and wipe. For carpets, spray a mist over the surface and rub in with a cloth.

I went with bleach and water, wiped down everything.....luckily they were mostly in the trunk and I tore out all the liner long ago so it was just metal and wiring looms to wipe down there. Did the same thing to every surface too used carpet cleaner on the carpet where i found signs of them. Might go rent a steam cleaner and finish off the carpet.

Ok just filled a spray bottle with 70% rubbing alcohol and sprayed down the carpet and every area i couldn’t reach, The virus is protected by a lipid layer that’s rather thin Rubbing alcohol should kill it and evaporate well.....luckily the cars a convertible. I also have a UVC light I could bust out if i want to get crazy.....but now i need to take another car to the beach since i just sprayed down the car with something kinda flammable.....Looks like the Jetta.
