I’ve turned my attention to the bed of the new truck by ordering and installing the factory box link interface plates and accessory tie down cleats. The box link plates install with four torx-head bolts into existing holes every F150 comes with from the factory. The plates are standard on higher trim levels than I was willing to pay for. Considering the array of accessories that attach to them (along with the openings accommodating any standard e-track attachment), it seemed like $49 well spent to put them on the truck.
I also picked up the OEM tie down cleats to attach to the plates, as I figure having four additional tie down points will come in handy. I then finished off evening by cleaning and detailing the interior for the first time. Not surprisingly, it doesn’t take long to detail to a regular cab interior.

I’ve got a bedrug on order along with the camper shell. I had one in a previous truck and liked it a lot.

I wasted a couple of hours geeking out over L-track after seeing a post about it somewhere. This stuff is a high priority for my next truck.
