Just an observation post to watch for people trying to sneak in from Illinois. You know, all those freaks with radio and TV stations that begin with the letter ‘W’. Weird, very weird...

All in good humor. I actually quite like Illinois and am looking at real estate in numerous cities across the river. Working for a local transportation agency makes it reasonable for me to hop on the train to get to work at no charge, although a few recent murders on the train have me reconsidering this plan...

I’d stay on the Missouri side if I was you. Illinois side of STL is pretty sketchy, lots of murdering in Illinois (Chicago, East STL, Peoria, and my hometown, Springfield). In Chicago the violence is still pretty bad but I think murder rates are down, but in Springfield they’re up by 300% and in Peoria up by 450%.
