It is a vert... BUT it has the six speed manual and is very fast and is also very good at turning tires into smoke.

I’d rather have the auto hardtop than the manual convertible. Plus all speced the way I would want one is still $2k cheaper than the base ZL1 vert.

A guy in my town has one just like that but the last gen. He drives that thing wherever he can with the top down. He’s this massive guy from Australia, so he probably doesn’t fit into the coupe.

When the top goes down the price goes up. When it has a 6 speed the price goes through the roof.

Not how I would spec mine either but the customer is stoked to have a manual convertible so I can’t judge.

It’s pretty much a brand new shop as we had a fire in there two years ago.

I promise I’m not a hater, I respect the shit out of the ZL1 and would love to have one. I’m also a pretty big GM fan on the whole...

But holy hell that looks cheap. I dunno if it’s the colour combo, the lighting, or what but I think that ragtop just makes the car look incredibly cheap.

Is it just me?

I would never buy a convertible anything but the new Camaro does look pretty nice with a rag top.

Convertibles are good. I’d rather have the wind in my face than MAXIMUM TRACK DAY STRUCTURAL RIGIDITY, BRO .

This is fine.

It may be the best way to enjoy this car from day to day. However if the car is also going to see the track it has to be the coupe and maybe the 1LE package.

Sure, if someone is a track rat then yes they would want a coupe.

I’m very much against the attitude that performance cars need to justify their existence by going to track events on a regular basis. It’s like when someone posts on a forum about what suspension mods they should get and some track person comes along and is like, “whatever, it doesn’t matter, your stock suspension is fine on the street, you don’t need coilovers unless TRACK DAY BRO.”

Yes, a car like a ZL1 is stupidly overkill for driving around town and the occasional twisty back road. But that in itself is a good enough reason to have one.
