Kinja'd!!!

Too lazy to cook, so off to Ikea for a cheap bite. $8.76 for a full meal, which is actually less than I paid at Burger King for two items yesterday. The stuffed chicken is a tad dry, but not bad, and the artichoke / pepper stuffing is quite tasty. The salad? Not a shred of that awful iceberg lettuce to be found - woohoo!

Make sure to get one of those “build your own” hot dogs at the checkout. I just can’t leave IKEA without one of them.

Interestingly I recently found out that that is a thing in Germany.

They don’t trust the Dutch with that responsibility. Nor with the freedom to dispense their own sauce. You buy packages for meals. On hotdogs it is applied by the person selling it.

Also, the hotdogs are actually a sales tactic.

You go to Ikea, get stuff and then pay. You are in the mindset of “I’ve just paid (perhaps more than I wanted) money” the crazy cheap hotdog on the way out is there so the last thought you have before leaving is “cheap hotdog”. The last purchase you made was a good deal. Or even just the last offer you had was a good deal. So you leave with a positive mindset.
