Kinja'd!!!

The part of me that loves big luxury and fantastic value. This baby comes just like I like it, loaded to the gills and with lots of factory warranty left on it.

That’s not a convertible! !

I know. I’m so conflicted.

Maybe?

Haha - in my experience, if you want a convertible, nothing else will be satisfying, for what that’s worth.

Unless you buy 2 cars!

That car does seem like a good deal, though it’s got fairly high miles for the MY?

FWIW, I have a sedan, convertible, and beater SUV, so maybe I’m a really bad (or good?) person to comment. ..

Unless the K900 has a special warranty, it only has 5k left. Only the first owners get the 10 year 100k. Second owners get 5 year 60k.

Edit:

Just realized it was a CPO. That’s a damn good deal.

It’s got some miles on it, but I don’t have the same fear of that as I would on an “as is” car. Also, this is Kia CPO.

Yes. I never put much stock in CPO, but this makes it a really good find. I can’t believe it’s been over two months on the market. It really satisfies my desire for something different because no one buys them.

I very much do rotary, and that version RX-7 holds many fond memories for me.

Yeah- I don’t know Kia wellbut presume their CPO program is pretty solid on these cars? That would remove the risk, really -

We have a CPO Hyundai, and while it has been used a fair amount for stupid afterthought parts, we haven’t had any issues with claims. We even got a Genesis G80(super-meh, buy a German) loaner.

I need to be careful here, or I could talk myself into this car.

That’s great that they’ve taken care of things without question. I kinda thought they might be like that - I think they’re still trying harder to build their rep here in the US.

I get why people buy them, good bang for your buck, but I would spend a few more dollars for a MB or Lexus for quality bang.

And I’m blaming this all on you. Bastard.

Ha- yeah, as I recall, you haven’t bought used in a long time, right?

I haven’t either, for the reasons you describe. Thought long and hard about it 2 years ago, but then got a good deal on a new car and dropped the thought.

But with a good CPO, you should save $ without taking on headaches.

Yeah, at some point maybe you just have to take the plunge?

I started out buying only used because no money, but haven’t bought used since 1991 now. I’ll take another run at it next spring, though—not sure if I’ll get comfortable enough to do it or not -

Yeah, my wife and I moved from an area of Texas where everything was very flashy. Some could afford it, others couldn’t. It was a bit much for both of us. So, we try to keep a low profile while enjoying life here in the PNW. Live below our means, buy relatively low key cars. (I put gold wheels on my WRX, for historical context you see). Live in only as much house as we need, etc. I like it and the chill vibe it has.

I do really like seeing the latest and greatest super/hypercar, but would rather have to wander north to around Seattle to see that type of climate. As it is, I see way more restored and driver type of classic cars around town and am totally cool with that. Bathtub Porsches, old Mopars, Chevys Buicks, etc.

I see an LS swapped Miata as a modern day Shelby minus the huge speculative value.
