Curious. I’m pretty sure a Chrysler SUV had 14. Will the Atlas with 18 be VWs effort to at least win the cupholder wars? Where will this insanity end?
I think the rest of us have been wronged by our brands when we are at a cupholder deficit. I have 3 in my car and I’m considering a class action suit for not installing enough for all the passengers resulting in spilled coffee on two of my occupants. Every manufacturer who has short-changed us on an adequate amount of beverage receptacles will be included. Since ImmoralMinority is our resident lawyer maybe he can take up our cause. If my count is right, my 2013 T&C has 16, but I’m not near it right now, so I can’t run to verify.
If each held a 44 ounce Big Gulp, that’d be 5.5 gallons.

I’m pretty certain the prior highest cupholder count was indeed a Chrysler product.
