Are the dumbest design in the world. Which drunk german engineer thought this one up?!?!

Not only do you have to lift up the armrest/storage box to use the back one, you have to lift it up to use the freaking handbrake!

This wouldn’t be the end of the world, unless they designed the clip that holds the box closed to have the durability of blue cheese (seriously, I’ve been through 3 of them in 10k miles)

So anytime my passenger has a cup (frequent) or I park and want to use the hand brake (every friken time I drive!) I dump my mints, sunglasses and about $2.50 in change all over the backseats..... Grrrr...... German engineer....... grumble...... grumble........

I have the same car, but with a manual. Having anything larger than a can of coke in them makes shifting impossible.

This is why automatic shifter knobs need to die. That giant useless knob is taking up prime cup holder territory. And a great spot for the hand brake as well

that’s a brilliant idea! I remember driving a ferrari california and I was really confused because its an auto with no knob. You control everything with the paddles, but it makes so much sense once you try it

I agree completely. I bought my Volt last fall and can’t stop thinking, why in the hell does this thing still have a regular shifter stalk. I think an ev especially makes for a great chance to do something new with the shifter.

Well, that’s probably because your center console lid is broken haha.

My B7 A4 went though two of those. Great catapult though.
