Inspired by the oppo member doing such things (slowly) in real life, I photoshopped an MX3 hatchback onto an NB MX5. I dig it. I dig it a lot. Who wants to give me a beat up NB shell to do this IRL?

The rear glass is slightly too long and messing up the proportions for me, I think the end of the glass needs to be right where the tail lights begin.

See this really gives me conflicting emotions. I REALLY like the the NB, but I’m doing this to an NA. I haven’t had much progress on my car because I’m trying to get the RX7 and the 323 fixed and sold off. Should be seeing more updates before the end of the summer.

Yeah, I realize that. Having custom glass done would cost an arm and a leg. But, in the world of photoshop it’s possible.

I think it’s an NA. He’s down in Texas and I’m in Kansas and have no room for such shenanigains so it’s probably a non-starter idea. Also I have a Mustang to build and an NB to make pretty.

Yeah I think Im finally getting the paperwork off the guy I bought the white shell from. It has been an ordeal... kinda killed my enthusiasm for the project when that all happened. Once I have it in hand I will be much more motivated to get back into it. Plus the other two projects will be sold by the end of the month too.

Unrelated, but this showed up at the local Pull-A-Part:
Bad news: it did a nose-dive into salt water according to 96Formula6spd, who’s raided it for some stuff. Water got up to the ECU at the very least and the carpet is soaked.

SEND ME THE DAMN BUMPER. Shipping on that would probably be cheaper than having a body shop fix the paint on mine.
And the headlight assemblies so I can MSM-paint them except body color instead of black.

One of my friends nabbed both the bumper and hood, keep a lookout for it on Miata.net if he hasn’t already sold it. The headlights are apparently full of saltwater so they’re done for.
