Maybe your over sized American portions are the problem

What 25 oz of sweet tea is too big? Shit man I can still breathe after the Pho noodle soup, spring roll and tea. Contemplating of going by McDonald’s and getting a milk shake.

There will never be a cup holder more inadequate than the ones in E36 BMWs. No beverage containers actually fit in them that I ever found.

This cup is much larger than normal, but I could get it to wedge in the cup holder in my Mazda for sure.

I dunno, the ones in my A4 were pretty shit. They only had fronts and backs to them. nothing on either side, so your drink would fly out as soon as you stop driving in a straight line.

See, but something actually fit in them. A standard ass soda can wouldn’t even fit in mine. And it 300% would have been a decent cup holder if it didn’t taper towards the bottom.

Why do germans hate drinks?

I gave up on the “cupholders” in the Miata and turned the area into a charging hub. Forgive the dirty interior, spent the weekend offroading and haven’t cleaned yet!

Kinja'd!!!

Now look at the design Mazda chose below. That cupholder piece? It’s. Not. Connected. As in, it’s just resting on top of the transmission cover, held in place by gravity. So take a corner—not even at speed, just take a corner period—and the cupholder and drinks go flying around the cabin. Genius

Because drinking a coke whike crusing on the autobahn at 120 is strongly advised against. Or something like that.

Better than my cupholders. Look at this! I can only hold two drinks at the same time. This is bullshit.

My Silverados got you covered on that. You can fit three across on the center console and two 1 liter bottles of your choice drink in both front doors.

I can drive across the state of montana with my knees and only use my hands for drinking, radio, and the occasional turn signal. Thank my mom for my excellent driving habits.

Haha, beat me to it. Yeah, my truck has some cupholders that are useless while moving. More like cup... trays?

It was supposed no click in there. Then again, this is plastic that has about 2 decades on it so YMMV.

Mk2 supra nostalgia.

The “in-motion” cupholder was your waist and the seat belt buckle.

I was always curious about that. In the 7-8 Miatas I’ve driven I’ve yet to see an intact one. More rare than the legendary intact dip stick handle!

The Niva’s cup holder is an old boot in the passenger footwell.
