Mead is also acceptable, Zoidberg is just a heathen.

There is hope! I was in Whole Foods and tried a sample of gluten free beer. It was a surprisingly decent lager, not something that would win awards, but better than any of watered down mass made pilsners.

My wife drinks a lot of the angry orchard. It’s Gluten free & I think most of those apple beers are. Gots the job done, along side Rum Chatta & occasional Fireball.

Sorry I just kinda blurted that out. I had a day that I could use a beer at the end of. You’re right it is the bringer of goodness.

Yeah there are a few decent ones. Damm Daura is my favorite (basically Estrella Damm but gluten free) but the local place that had it stopped carrying it recently :(

My wife and I fight about cider a lot. She likes Angry Orchard. I prefer basically every other one, but she doesn’t. We do both like the Stella Artois one (Cidre), but it is pretty expensive. Ciders are going to be gluten free. Apple flavored beers like Redd’s aren’t.

Mead also works very well in a mason jar so it comes full circle lol.

I’m polishing off a growler of Tree Tap from Two Beagles Brew Pub in La Crosse right now.

Its like smokey pancake syrup flavored. Quite good.

Mead and cider are the Mrs. go to as she abhors the taste of beer, and she has humored me and tried all different styles. This also extends to “apple flavored beer” that has a special place of spite for pretending to be cider.

Funny enough there are now a bunch of hopped ciders pretending to be beers. I’ve tried many different ciders including one aged in whisky casks, but for my money a plain dry cider is the best. We have a local company that makes a great classic dry cider in 16 oz. cans that are perfect for sticking in a Yeti cozy on a hot day. Of course my wife doesn’t like it, so we get their pineapple or honey versions. Ugh I’m gonna go make a Jack and Coke.

Indeed. There are some pretty decent ones. I haven’t had Ghostfish - too far from the PNW down here in TX.
