Kinja'd!!!

And an older IBM ThinkPad. Both are a little beat up, but whatever - those two plus a few discs and cables set me back $14.

We have a goodwill outlet near me. Unfortunately electronics are separated and priced about what they are at regular goodwill stores (at least they were the last time I went).

There are also occasional fist fights when they roll new bins out of the back room.

Millennium Falcon, something, something.

I never understand why anyone would give those up. My theory is that every one represents someone’s mom who was doing spring cleaning and thought the kids had outgrown toys.

I remember that the outlet near downtown LA had the computers and such separated into a separate area, but the ones in STL keep it all in the same bins. They’re not supposed to sell computers because there might be personal data on the hard drives but if you bury the computers in a bag they don’t ask any questions ;P

Oh yeah, the fights and threats. I just have to have a laugh when some moron does that to me. I’m a regular there (it’s right around the corner from my office) and know a bunch of the other regulars, and haven’t had any trouble in years.

Exactly. I’ve always wanted one, ever since the first Star Wars movie, and 40 years later I finally have it.

Just for laughs, here’s the picture my sister posted on FB when the last movie came out (not seen are the Star Wars sheets, watches, toys, etc.)

Yikes!

That is adorable! Yeah, we got one for Christmas when they came out.

Also had Star Wars bed spread. I kept it long enough to have made out with a couple of dates on it.

I have mine, and like every other ship. I even have the Ewok village.

Once upon a time my Mom garage sold all my original Kenner Star Wars stuff. One guy gave her like $50 for the whole lot. She thought she robbed him. She did not.

Now my kids are the right age and I’d kill to still have that stuff.

Not yet, but I’ll probably fire it up tonight. It looks like a beast, at least for 2002. 2.0 GHz P4, 1.5 GB RAM and a 1600x1200 display. Top of the line back then I’d guess. Model A31p-2653 if memory serves me correctly...
