Kinja'd!!!

Now while there are supercar models that look great, they don’t necessarily always get a “revision,” or a facelift. A chance to either fix (or ruin) the look of cars. Everyday cars however, get revisions. They get better, or they get worse. And here’s my list of my favorite revisions in recent history.

Raise your hand if you even remember Camry from two generations ago. Somehow it managed to go round, and then squarish and then round again. I remember just being amazed by how nice the 2011 (bottom left) Camry was in SE. And they managed to make the 2014 refresh even better with the introduction of the XSE. And they launched it in that amazing red. My aunt actually got a black one last year and I get to see it every day now. But I put this on here because I HATE THE NEWEST (NEXT GEN) CAMRY ON HOW IT LOOKS BUT IT’S SUBJECTIVE AND TO EACH THEIR OWN.

While size-wise, the S-Class compares with the A8, LS and 7-Series. I always thought it was a class above all by itself because at least for me personally, there’s no other car on the road quite like the S-Class. It really is in a class by itself. I remember liking the previous S-Class and E-Class (both the square light one and the round blobby light facelift) and I thought that they can’t possibly get better. BUT THEY DID. And now we have the current C, E and S-Classes.

Ya’ll need to see one in real life if you haven’t. The current one is beautiful.

Is it just me that has an unhealthy obsession with how nice the current Civic looks?

Back in 2011, I already loved the GS. My dad at this point was considering getting an LS at the time and I was trying to convince him to get one of those rare GS460s. I remember seeing them announce the new GS and I mentally almost fainted cause it looked so much better than the old one.

I loved the first Traverse that we got in the US. I thought it was a very honest looking car. And with the facelift it got some pretty cool tailights. It was my favorite Chevrolet HAHA more than a Corvette. Initially this post was my favorite AND LEAST FAVORITE revisions, but I couldn’t think of another revision I hated more than the newest Traverse.

Kinja'd!!!

Which ones did we agree on and are there revisions that I didn’t mention that you loved?

I agree with you absolutely loving the new Lacrosse and hating the new Traverse, but I think the 10th gen Civic is overstyled and ugly.

I’m interested to see the 2018 Camry in person. We have a 2016 and I think the revision they did in 2015 was a big improvement. The 2012-2014 just looked too much like it had a cheap body kit tacked on.

I think the new traverse is light years ahead of the old one. Just wish GM made a midsized body on frame SUV for the states.

The Camry is hideous but at least it’s more interesting now.

I really don’t care about any of the Mercs.

I can’t say I’m in love with either 6-er, but it definitely looks better now that it’s lost the amber eyebrows.

The Lacrosse is incredibly handsome now.

The Civic is absolutely horrendous now. My favorite, style-wise, is the generation before.

I’ll agree with the GS as long as the GS you choose doesn’t have the full balls-out predator grille.

The first Traverse was fugly. The facelift made it tolerable. This latest incarnation looks amazing.

The soon-to-be replaced Camry gets a big fat NOPE for this stupid piece of poorly-integrated black plastic on the C-pillar.

Kinja'd!!!

The current Civic is hideous. The sedan is the least offensive looking of the 3 body styles.

The new Traverse is inoffensive.

I think the Gen1 6-series was among the few successful iterations of Bangle Bimmers.

Everyone outside of oppo and the retirement home already forgot about. You all will forget about in 6 months. Buick seriously could of sold it in 2010. At least some one tried with the Regal.

It’s hard for me to choose, there’s elements on each I like. And on each that I hate. The trouble is the balance of  like/hate items didn’t really change  much

Actually like the new Traverse better and in person the Camry is so bad. They tried to tone down the styling cues from the prius but it didn’t work. Also another one to add just because wagon. But over all 10x better looking.

Top down G1 looked good, the G2 looked even more yachty at that point.

The facelifted next gen Camry makes em think of the beaked Acura TL model.

I think the 6 (pre-gran coupe) has aged terribly especially when compared to it’s E60 sister.

The Civic looks from the outside like it has worse rear visibility than an Italian supercar.

I can’t seem to find any nice things to say about GM products ever so I will just be quiet.
