I returned yesterday from a 5 day and 2150 mile motorcycle camping trip to the Ozark Mountains. Rather than re-post everything here, I’ll just provide the link to the ride report I did over on advrider.com if you’re interested.

My pop lives up in Bella Vista, AR, just to the left and up a bit from Fayetteville, and I’ve been taking my son up there annually for most of my son’s life (all of 12, currently). Absolutlely love the Ozarks. We are camping out up there this year for a week, hopefully it won’t get all Deliverance on us (we are rafting to the camping spot, only reason I bring up that particular movie).

Where are you staying? I was down on Lake Ouachita for two nights and loved it.

I do believe we are going to be in that area. I know we are rafting SE from somewhere near Monte Ne (if you’ve never been there, you need to experience their Chicken Restaurant; no munus, open 4 hours a day, and still moved like a million pounds of chicken last year). All I know is that we are going to places I’ve not been to prior. Usually when I visit I do some golfing in Bella Vista, and some hiking in the surrounding areas. I’m not much of a water type of guy, so this should be interesting.

I had a guy in Kansas City tell me about that place.... I didn’t experience it though. Sounds like a fun trip. Enjoy it!
