He’s actually faster than that. Honestly. He set a record in a Corvette where the turbo wasn’t producing any boost. He complained about the car having, as he says, no power.
I think he is stress adverse and holds back from pushing too hard as a result. Not joking.

His depth of skill is impressive too. I loved when he did the fast lap for the Fiesta ST for best driver’s car 2014 and kept referencing B-spec hatchback touring cars. Dude will rip your face off with a McLaren based race car but he could also probably do it with a warmed over GTI too.

I can’t help but think he’s been the only person to have driven a lot of those cars on that circuit with official timing gear.
He’s definitely fast. but it’s pretty much his home track and he uses it for Motor Trend reviews.

Randy Pobst is fast, but that list is pretty misleading. It would look very different if it had all the open wheel lap times on it.

Hmm...is that list actually accurate? If Harry’s lap timer is to be trusted, I ran a 1:51.24 but I highly doubt I’m one of the top 125 lap times at Laguna Seca.

Yeah, not taking anything away from his skill but it’s only logical that the guy with arguably the most exposure to that track in the widest variety of cars would hold the most records.
